Always start from a single entry point: index.php receives all requests, routes paths, and returns the appropriate response. This is the pattern we use across all Alwkala projects.
Layer Separation
- Router: translates URLs to page slugs
- Repository: isolates data reading logic
- View: PHP templates with no business logic
- Helper Functions: pure functions with no state
Document-Driven vs Database-Driven
For content systems, JSON flat files are faster to develop and easier to backup than MySQL. Use a database only when you need ACID transactions or complex queries.
